Furnace and Duct Cleaning

 

 

Keeping your furnace properly serviced is the best thing you can do to extend the life of your furnace.

 

What You Can Expect ServiceMaster Clean Technicians To Do

- Measure carbon monoxide emission level
- Check, lubricate and clean motor
- Inspect heat exhanger, gas valve and burners
- Inspect fan blades and bearings for wear
- Inspect thermocouple (replace if going or gone)
- Check fan limit control switch
- Check electrical circuit and thermostat wiring
- Inspect for proper venting
- Check filter
- Test-run furnace and safety circuits
- Explain to customer any findings of parts needing to be replaced. Replace parts and or filter as necessary
- Clean furnace (if requested)
- Reassemble furnace

 

What You Can Expect from ServiceMaster for Duct Cleaning

-Technician hooks up large 10" hose to the furnace

-He then starts in the furthest corner of the house

-Removes vent covers Skippers and/or blow vents with 200 psi air pressure towards furnace

-Sanitizes vents if requested

-Continues throughout the house (if possible) until all hot air vents are cleaned

-Then locates and cleans all cold air vents

-Once all hot and cold air vents are cleaned the technician will drill access holes in main ducts, these are skippered with a special viper tool back to furnace

-Blows heat exchanger

-Blow down and wipes clean fan & motor (possible wash)

-Clean out burner section of furnace.

-Plugs up drilled access holes.

-Do visual inspection of furnace unless full tune up is requested.

-Last step is Technician will go back to each vent and check for any blow back debris and vacuum out if required and cover vents.
